Developer idlesauce has significantly optimized the launch of its PS5 UMTX2 jailbreak, and not just a little. The exploit now launches in 1 to 3 seconds, whereas before it took 10 to 60 seconds.

The UMTX2 project is the result of the work of several developers and computer security researchers, who have chosen to pool their knowledge, UMTX2 is a new jailbreak tool that exploits the UMTX vulnerability to allow the execution of unauthorized code on Sony’s PS5 console, the exploit code is largely based on the Lua implementation developed by developers Shahrilnet and n0llptr, available in the remote_lua_loader repository.

With this update the performance is just amazing.

Changelog: – Improved performance and success rate

– Call latency reduced from ~6 ms to ~0.2 ms.

– Do not give in before the umtx is destroyed.

– Supports PS5 firmware 1.00-5.50

– Uses PSFree 150b by abc (a webkit exploit known to run exploits on PS5 stably)

– Updated payloads with a specific menu
